Recruiting the best talent

When you don't need to pay for the whole firm...

Our goal is to strategically align with the best of the best talent who can provide services through Tapwewin, without the big corporate overhead fees. As we grow, our Associates and Team Members will grow and so too will our experience, expertise, and capacity. We aspire to one day offer a hybrid service of legal and technical expertise. Because real change will only happen when our lawyers talk like engineers and our engineers learn to talk like laywers!

Owner | Senior Project Manager | First Nation Housing, Buildings, & Infrastructure Specialist

Brock Campbell is a skilled leader with 26 years of experience working primarily with First Nation communities in Manitoba and Northwest Ontario. As a First Nation person with a engineering background, he brings both cultural understanding and technical expertise to every project, specializing in First Nation housing, buildings, and community infrastructure.

Brock's grass-roots leadership style focuses on working directly with community leaders, staff, and band members. He takes the time to ensure clients fully understand the decisions they're making, fostering informed and confident project ownership. His assertive approach to project management means he's always conscious of how daily decisions affect completion dates, proactively identifying and removing obstacles that typically cause delays.

With a proven track record managing complex, multi-million dollar projects—from schools and housing developments to commercial facilities and environmental remediation—Brock consistently delivers results on-time and on-budget. He excels at building strong working relationships and leveraging his extensive network to bring key decision makers together when challenges arise.

Beyond traditional project management, Brock is passionate about maximizing community participation and long-term economic benefits. He develops strategic participation plans that create local employment, training opportunities, and pathways for community-owned enterprises, ensuring projects serve as catalysts for sustainable community development.

Team Member | Lawyer| Real Estate, Land Use Planning & Development, Municipal Law, Aboriginal Law

Matt Pascuzzo is a lawyer based in Thunder Bay, Ontario whose practice focuses on real estate, land use planning and development, municipal law, and Aboriginal law.

Matt regularly works on matters involving land acquisition, planning approvals, zoning and municipal regulation, and the legal considerations that arise when development occurs on or near Indigenous lands or in partnership with Indigenous communities. He has experience helping developers and communities navigate the complex relationship between municipal planning regimes, provincial legislation, and Indigenous rights and governance.

Prior to law, Matt worked in federal politics on Parliament Hill. He served as Press Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, acting as a national spokesperson for the Prime Minister, and previously worked as Press Secretary to the Minister of Labour and as a senior communications advisor to the Minister of Health. His experience in government provides him with a strong understanding of how public policy, regulatory decision-making, and government processes affect development and infrastructure projects.

Matt also teaches real estate law and property law as a sessional instructor at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, where he works with the next generation of lawyers on issues relating to land ownership, land use regulation, and development approvals.
